Umami Mart Block Party
Saturday August 5
One of our favorite summer gigs returns again at Umami Mart! We'll play at 12:45 - 1:15 and again at 2:30. We're playing on loaner drums from our friends in the taiko community - thanks to all of you!
Solano Stroll
Sunday September 10
We're honored to return to the Solano Stroll year after year. Since 1974 Solano Avenue and the twin-cities of Albany and Berkeley CA, have hosted the Solano Avenue Stroll, the East Bay’s largest street festival! The Solano Avenue Association invites you to see what makes Solano Avenue a wonderful place. We feature over four hundred vendors including 50 entertainers, 25 food booths, 100 government and non-profit agencies, 100 artisans, jewelers, makers, and much more!

Sumo and Sushi

You don't have to fly to Japan to experience the excitement and fun of this 1500 year old sport! Learn about the history, rules, and culture of Sumo followed by over 12 live matches and a Q+A with the wrestlers. Emeryville Taiko played all 5 shows at Sumo and Sushi in San Francisco.
Distant Journeys of Cultural Exchange
